The creators of the series did not care about the authenticity of the series.
The series “Magnificent Century” won the hearts of millions of viewers and is still considered one of the leading projects in Turkey. Fans with bated breath watched the story of Alexandra Anastasia Lisowska and Suleiman develop, but few of them noticed the mistakes that the creators of the series allowed themselves.
Apparently, the costume designers left out one significant detail. They allowed actress Nur Fettahoglu, who played the role of Mahidevran Sultan, to keep her French manicure. And that is why in her frame her heroine shines with well-groomed nails, which at the time of the plot of the series was absolutely impossible: this type of manicure appeared in the USA only at the end of the last century.
Attentive fans did not leave the creators’ supervision without comment. They condemned the costume designers, and some admitted that after noticing this mistake, the series ceased to be interesting.
