The distribution company K2M organized, on Friday December 23, 2022 in the public square of Harobanda (Right Bank) in front of the town hall of 5th district, cultural activities called the night of cultural fashion. This activity was organized with the financial support of Fondac, Niger Telecom and Sonibank.
Through this activity, the young people of the right bank have mobilized massively in the public square to show the entire population that the capital is a crossroads for all the cultures of the country. Several cultural activities were on the agenda for this evening. Guest artists mesmerized audiences through rich and varied performances. Furthermore, to enhance this cultural evening, competitions have also been organized to allow young people to participate and win prizes.
Speaking during this activity called cultural fashion night, the promoter of K2M company, Mr. Omar Kalla pointed out that, in the cultural field, there are not enough companies in Niger. This is why many people feel that the cultural component has little appeal. The objectives of this evening are therefore to explain to people that culture is a sector in which one can invest.
According to Mr. Omar Kalla, so that culture really plays its role. “The sector needs to be reframed a bit. This is to ensure that promoters, artists and distribution houses play their part. This is why we decided to organize this event in Niamey to explain to young people that with culture we can create many companies that generate jobs”, underlined the promoter of K2M. Through culture, we can fight youth unemployment effectively and significantly reduce poverty. Culture is an area where we can create wealth.
“Through this festival, we want to restore value to our traditional cultural values so that our customs and traditions as well as our customs are respected. We must avoid this hybrid trend that undermines our traditional cultural values. This is why we intend to make the second edition a resounding success. We have taken the risk of being a company in the cultural field. We think we will take up the challenge, please God,” confided Omar Kalla.
On behalf of the K2M distribution company, he expressed his sincere thanks to their partners, namely the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts, Fondac, Niger Telecom, Sonibank, as well as the artists who massively responded to the company call K2M .
