A Microsoft employee inadvertently announced that Notepad for Windows 11 will have tabbed windows. The employee, one of the company’s senior product managers, posted an image of a tabbed version of Notepad.
He deleted the tweet minutes later, but not before several Twitter accounts found out. The Notepad screenshot includes an internal Microsoft warning: “Do not discuss features or take screenshots.” This notice indicates that the feature is still in internal testing, but that this feature could reach Windows in early 2023.
