“I hate Meghan Markle on a cell level,” wrote British TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson in his column for The sun. “I can’t wait for the day when she’s forced to parade naked through the streets while the mob throws feces at her,” she continued. With the piece, Clarkson wanted to express her disgust at a documentary in which Britain’s Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle voiced their grievances about the British royal family, but she went overboard. In recent days, 20,000 complaints have been received by the UK’s media regulator, MPs have condemned the column and even Clarkson’s daughter has distanced herself from her views.
Clarkson has since taken his column offline, admitting he was “clumsy.” She promises “more caution” in the future. Also The sun he apologized, although he shifted some of the responsibility to Clarkson.
