Studio Niantic has announced a New Year’s Eve event for the Pokémon GO game.
As the year is slowly but surely drawing to a close, Pokémon GO developer Niantic has announced a New Year’s Eve event for the augmented reality game.
The New Year’s Eve party starts on Saturday 31 December 2022 at 20:00 and runs until Wednesday 4 January 2023 at 20:00. During this time, Pokémon wear colorful outfits, and you can expect a new avatar item, pose, and more, among other things.
Also, during this event, festive fireworks will light up the sky, and you can evolve Hoothoot in New Year’s Outfit into Noctuh in New Year’s Outfit.
In the same move, it was announced that the following wild Pokémon would appear more frequently: Party Top Hat Pikachu, New Year’s Outfit Hoothoot, and Party Hat Wurmple.
Aside from that, the following Pokemon will be hatching from 7km Eggs: Party Hat Pichu, Piy, Fluffy, Togepi, Bully, Kussilla, Elekid, Magby, Azurill, Isso.
