The Ministry of Social Policies published this Thursday a credit extension that doubles the item envisaged for the aid of the Coidado Bonus, a program that finances specific reconciliation needs and which this summer was extended to summer camps (provided they do not coincide with holidays of the father, mother or guardian or habitual guardian).
In this way, the Xunta has decided to broaden the voice for the Coidado Bonus, given “the sharp increase in applications submitted for this aid”, according to sources in the regional department confirmed to Europa Press, and this meant four times more demand for 2021. This aid is granted until the credit is exhausted with an order of request, provided that the requisites are met, which does not include the income limit.
The Galician government had budgeted €550,000 in its 2022 budget and doubled it to over €1.1 million, increasing available credit by €607,000.63.
Indeed, the Xunta attributes the high demand for this aid to having extended it to the non-scholastic period, which led to a “significant” increase in applications, which went from 1,550 in 2021 to over 6,000 this year.
As explained by the same sources, the Regional Council hopes that, with this extension, all requests that meet the requirements of the aid ordinance can be satisfied.
Even the Galician government shows its “satisfaction” with the “success” of an aid that is “intended to support the reconciliation of personal and working life” of families.
NURSERY SCHOOLS
Il Dog, on the other hand, also publishes the increase in aid credit for educational attention from 0 to 3 years of private subjects, which amounts to 10.6 million euros. Currently, places are financed for all minors who access a public school.
Furthermore, the aid provision for social initiative schools has also been extended by 38,700 euros, compared to this year’s initial item of 350,000. Already the previous year it amounted to 400,000 euros.
