Xiaomi will announce its Redmi K60 phones after Christmas, the manufacturer has announced. The current generation first came with a game variant before the normal variants, which now seems to be the case again.
Redmi says the presentation will take place on Tuesday at 19:00 Chinese time. That is, in the afternoon in the Netherlands and Belgium. In the current generation, there was first a game variant and in the announcement the manufacturer is now talking about games again. The image shows a back with three cameras, the bottom of which has a square aperture. This usually indicates a periscope zoom lens.
In addition, a loudspeaker, a microphone hole and presumably an opening for the infrared transmitter can be seen at the top. It has been present on many models of the Chinese manufacturer for years. The K60 series comes in the Redmi K series. Those phones usually don’t enter the European market under that name, but often appear under the Poco branding. For example, the Redmi K50i appeared as the Poco X4 GT.
Though Redmi doesn’t make high-end phones, some models get new socs and new techniques. For example, the Redmi Note 12 Discovery appeared this fall, which is the first phone capable of charging with a power of 210W.
