JAKARTA (RIAUPOS.CO) – Xiaomi is reportedly ready to announce the latest series of their sub-brand i.e. Redmi. As for what will be introduced is the K60 K series. The introduction of this new Redmi family will initially take place at their headquarters, precisely in China on December 27th.
Reporting from GSMArena, the brand has just announced its official date on the local social media platform, Weibo. According to Xiaomi, the initial release of the series is a New Year’s gift for all Redmi fans.
And since this announcement, one of the K60 series phones is also expected to hit the global market in early January 2023. On their Weibo page, the Xiaomi sub-brand has also teased a lot about the performance of its upcoming flagship phone.
And according to everyone teasers given, the K60 series phones will be able to offer good gaming performance. If this is true, then this will affect the lower middle class mobile market considering that Redmi is a sub-brand of Xiaomi that exists specifically to reach the budget class.
Redmi has not confirmed any specifications for the Redmi K60 series. However, according to many rumors, the new K series will come in different models namely the regular K60 and the other one is the K60e.
And the following month, in February, the brand is said to release the Redmi K60 Pro. The Redmi K60 is expected to feature Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, while the Redmi K60 Pro is said to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
Hm, really interesting. Meanwhile, the other model, namely the Redmi K60e, will reportedly be a more pocket-sized, i.e. cheaper, version. For this model, it has also been reported that this phone will come with a Dimension 8200 chip.
That said, the K60 is also expected to be rebranded as the Poco F5 and released in global markets. It will have the same specifications as the K60 but with a different name. Apart from that, the K60e will boast a 5,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging. And Redmi K60 and K60 Pro will be equipped with a 5,000 mAH battery with 120 Watt fast charging.
Additionally, the K60e is said to feature a 48MP IMX582 primary camera. And the K60 and K60 Pro are expected to come with a 64MP IMX686 and 50MP IMX890 primary camera.
