JAKARTA, RADARKAUR.CO.ID – The government is secretly conducting a study to lower the price of Pertamina fuel.

The review process was conducted after observing the downward trend in world crude oil prices.

There are four types of Pertamina fuel prices that are studied. Namely the types of Pertamax, Pertamax Turbo, Dexlite and Pertamina Dex.

According to Pertamina Patra Niaga company secretary Irto Ginting, the study was conducted considering the downward trend in world crude oil prices.

The price of world crude oil was even at last week’s low, at $71 a barrel.

However, Pertamina’s fuel price, which will be determined later, certainly does not only see fluctuations in the world price of crude oil.

There are other considerations such as the average price of Singapore Plats (MOPS) and the exchange rate of the rupee.

“Obviously we review. Periodically all general fuel grades (JBU) will be reviewed with existing considerations,” Irto said as quoted by radarkaur.co.id from CNBCIndonesia on Sunday, Dec. 25, 2022.

Meanwhile, on December 1, 2022, Pertamina fuel prices increased for Pertamax Turbo, Dexlite and Pertamina Dex types.

Previously, Irto said this price increase was a periodic price assessment for non-subsidized fuel products, namely the Pertamax series and the Dex series.
