Journalist Jeff Grubb confirmed that an Xbox event should occur in early 2023also causing one of the potential contents: a game of Tango works of the same level as Repentance🇧🇷 So expect a title with a more modest budget, and no, it’s not yet the time for the highly anticipated The Evil Within 3.
Grubb spoke about it during the latest episode of The XboxEra podcast, commenting on a rumor that emerged in recent days. The video can be seen below:

“Talking about that event that everyone keeps suggesting will happen early next year, I can’t say exactly what others have said, but I have also heard about it and I can tell you something about one of the games that will be presented. It’s supposed to be a Pentiment-level game from a studio that isn’t Obsidian.” Later, it was specified that it’s the Tango worksthe Shinji Mikami studio which released Ghostwire: Tokyo in 2022.
What does “repentance level game” mean? We are probably talking about a production level, that is one game smaller than normal AAAperhaps with a strong stylistic imprint. Considering that Tango Gameworks will also be releasing Ghostwire Tokyo on Xbox in 2023 (it’s currently exclusive to the PS5 console), it could be a good match as long as the quality is close to that of Obsidian’s game.
Of course, the invitation in these cases is always to take everything with due caution, given that we are talking about indiscretions. We await confirmation from Microsoft before taking the event and announcements for granted.
