Due to high inflation in 2022, not only our wages will be indexed, but also all kinds of tax amounts (limits) will increase significantly in early 2023. For the cadastral income (ki), this means an increase of 9 .6 percent. That income is the most important metric in determining the real estate withholding tax someone pays annually on their home. The higher the ki of the property, the more property taxes someone will pay in cash.
In absolute terms, the increase will vary greatly from family to family. The withholding tax is not determined only by the amount of the cadastral income, but also by the tax regime of the municipality in which one lives and by the family situation.
The newspaper’s calculations already show that increases of more than 100 euros will be no exception.
