After the great success of the Jogger, the model that conquered everyone on the market with over 83,000 orders and 51,000 registrations since its launch in March 2022, Dacia rides the wave of customer enthusiasm and approval by launching a new update of the template. In March 2023, in fact, the Romanian company will make the brand new available on the European market Hybrid Jogger 140the compact that for the first time will mount the Mioveni hybrid engine.
Jogger Hybrid 140, power and sustainability
The success of the Eco-G 100 version of the model launched in March 2022 has led the Romanian automotive brand to focus heavily on a technology that would help electrify the range of the House. Made in the Mioveni factorythus the Jogger Hybrid 140 was born, ithe first hybrid model which will run on the roads from March and which will be available to order from January 2023.
Available from 24,600 euros for the Expression version (5 seats), the Jogger is the most affordable hybrid family car on the market. Present in a double configuration with five or seven seats, the compact is aimed at all those customers who need a spacious and multi-purpose car suitable for both city life and out-of-town trips. Quiet and with a smooth, vibration-free ride, the model has all-electric starting and instant torque for powerful acceleration.
Robust and with good road holding, the Jogger offers a excellent comfort for all passengerseven to adults seated in the third row in the seven-seater model. It also marks the arrival of hybrid engines at Dacia and offers a combined output of 140 bhpas well as best-in-class fuel consumption and CO2 emissions from 108g/km.
Proven and effective technology
Thanks to its hybrid engine, with a 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol that delivers 90 hptwo electric (one from 50hp and a high voltage starter generator) and an automatic electric motor, the new Jogger is comfortable and easy to drive. The regenerative braking, combined with the high levels of energy recovery of the 1.2 kWh (230V) battery and the efficiency of the automatic gearbox, allow you to have 80% electric propulsion in the city and you save up to 40% fuel compared to an internal combustion engine in the urban cycle driven in the same way.
The fully electric drive at the start and the automatic gearbox make the vehicle fun and light. The battery then recharges when the driver brakes or slows down, creating a truly limitless hybrid experience. As for autonomy, the Jogger Hybrid 140 boasts more than that 900 km in WLTP combined cyclewith the battery that is warranted for the first eight years or 160,000 km, whichever comes first (here we have explained to you how the cold has a strong impact on the range of electric cars).
Lionel JailletVice-President Dacia said he was enthusiastic about the product which will arrive in the first quarter of the new year: “It is a clutchless hybrid, which offers an all-electric start and reduces fuel consumption. The Jogger represents Dacia’s position perfectly: it is the most affordable hybrid family vehicle on the market and always offers generous interior space in addition to all the essential features.”
