PDIP and NasDem warm up in the seats of the ministers of the Environment and Forestry in view of the reshuffle

Jakarta

POI Perjuangan (PDIP extension) and NasDem hot on the seats of ministers when the problem government reshuffle reappear. The PDIP has requested that the performance of two NasDem ministers, Environment and Forestry Minister (LHK) Siti Nurbaya and Agriculture Minister (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo, be evaluated by President Jokowi.

This started when the PDIP responded to Jokowi’s signal which opened up the possibility of a cabinet reshuffle. PDIP DPP Chairman Djarot Saiful Hidayat said he agreed that this was the right time for Jokowi to evaluate the ministers.

“If it is Pak Jokowi’s job to be able to evaluate the performance of all ministers, especially towards the end of the presidential term, so that the programs announced by Pak Jokowi can actually be implemented. It is time to evaluate them,” he said. Djarot at Taruna Merah Putih DPP Office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Friday (23/12/2022).

Djarot then raised the issue of rice imports. According to him, the rice import business in the Ministry of Agriculture needs to be assessed. He said the rice importing business would harm farmers.

“My example includes those who were concerned when we were in the past, already talking about self-sufficiency in rice, it turns out that we import rice when the price rises. In fact, the government needs to intervene. During the harvest season and the price is good , then they are beaten by imported rice. What will be worse will be next, whose farmers are sick, “Djarot said.

“That is why we at Commission IV say we are trying to open the data. The data is fixed, the same goes for BPS data owned by the Ministry of Agriculture, data owned by Bulog, data owned by Bappenas ( National Food Agency), open, united. Should we import? He said there is still enough. Should we import it? The important thing for us is that the price of rice is stable, the farmers can make a profit. continued.

Therefore, according to him, the Minister of Agriculture and the Minister of Environment and Forests must be evaluated by Jokowi. He brought out the spirit of renewal.

“The Minister of Agriculture is evaluated, the Minister of Forestry is evaluated, yes the Minister of Forestry. He must be evaluated. All the ministers must also be evaluated. So what? So that there is a fresh new blood that can fully support Pak Jokowi’s policies to keep his campaign promises,” he said.

Strong response from the NasDem

The NasDem party then strongly responded to the PDIP’s statement. NasDem Vice President (Waketum) Ahmad Ali accused the PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) of wanting to expel NasDem from President Jokowi’s coalition government.

Ali initially said that the cabinet reshuffle step was entirely Jokowi’s right as president.

“The authority to evaluate ministerial performance is in the hands of the president. So other people don’t have the authority to do it,” Ali told reporters on Friday (12/23).

In this regard, Ali said, even Jokowi is not obliged to convey his thoughts on the reshuffle of his cabinet to the public. “Regarding the reshuffle, the reshuffle is Pak Jokowi’s domain. He doesn’t need to explain to anyone, right,” he added.

Ali then alluded to the statement of the PDIP elite, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, who asked to evaluate the work of the NasDem ministers. According to Ali, it is not the first time that the NasDem minister has come under the spotlight of the PDIP.

“Now, a statement from a political party asking to evaluate a minister who appears to belong to the NasDem party, I don’t think that’s anything new, right,” he said.

Ali believed that this was done by the PDIP so that NasDem would be removed from the governing coalition. But Ali said he didn’t know why.

“It’s something that has been repeated from one cadre to the next saying the same thing. The point is that he wants the NasDem out of government. That’s the point, right? Because I don’t understand why. So once again, Mr. Jokowi knows the needs of his cabinet what, yes,” Ali said.
