Turki Al-Sheikh’s first response to critics of his Ghabana turban statements • Al-Marsad newspaper

Al-Marsad Newspaper: Councilor Turki Al-Sheikh, ‘President of Entertainment Authority’, commented on criticism of some of his ‘head wrapping turban’ claims and described it as not worn by Hijaz people and foreign to us.

And Al-Sheikh said through a “tweet” and again, do you know what is the thing that hovered over the liver the most?! Someone comes to philosophize and say patriotic cohesion and we are all one, why do you say so, Abu Nasser! Of course, we are all one and we are all in Islam, there is no difference between an Arab or a non-Arab”.

He added: “But don’t say that these are the clothes of our Saudi homeland and the clothes of our ancestors, and that they are inherited! Of course, those outside of their cries are ecstasy… ecstasy.”

And Al-Sheikh, through his tweet to him on Twitter, expressed his refusal to wear a turban by one of the participants of the “Saudi Idol” program, describing it as the legacy of the Hejaz people, saying, “This it is not the clothes of the Hijaz people and the clothes of a stranger to us, and she is not our aunt … the Hijaz people on the eye and on the head, but This is a distortion of our history, and we will not accept or allow the participation of any gang or activity in the aunt’s entertainment.
