Hennessey, home mods and super car engine concoctions from Texas, “stole” the Christmas tree with the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500.
Not for criminals, this action is an annual activity they do to break the Christmas Tree Run record.

Seeking to be faster than the previous action, Hennessey has transformed the 5.2-litre supercharged V8-powered Ford Mustang Shelby into a wild car with 1,000hp and 1,152Nm of torque.
The modified “package” given by Hennessey to the Ford Mustang Shelby is called the Venom 1000.
The Ford Mustang Shelby, which has been given a Venom 1000 upgrade twist, is being driven by professional race car driver, Specer Geswein.
In his action, Spencer managed to get the car up to 308km/h or 192mph on the oval track at the Continental Tire Proving Grounds. Interestingly, this Mustang Shelby has a Christmas tree tied to its roof.

“The Christmas Tree Run, which we hold every year, serves two roles for our company. First, to test the performance of our blend on the proving ground, which is a great opportunity to validate our technique. Where, Venom 1000 delivers impressive results,” said John Hennessey as founder and CEO of Hennessey via its official release.
“Secondly, adding seasonal fun allows our team to wrap up the year with high-octane fun, before slowing down and enjoying their family vacation,” continues John.
The changes made by the Hennessey team to the Ford Mustang Shelby were made to the intake system, fuel lines and injection, air and oil separation system.
“Also, the fittings, lines, belts and tensioners have been updated, and the dual-clutch transmission has been recalibrated for its high-output role,” Hennessey wrote.
The Chrismas Tree Run has actually been held by Hennessey since 2017. They have used the Dodge Challenger, the Jeep Trackhawk and most recently the AUDI RS 6 Avant.
