Severe winter storms hit swathes of the United States. and Canada over the Christmas weekend. It affected nearly 250 million people and caused at least 19 deaths.
The winter storm covered more than 2,000 miles (3,200 km) from Texas. The southern United States as far south as Quebec, Canada has left more than 1.5 million people without electricity.
It also affects millions of people during the busy holiday season. Bad weather has forced airlines to cancel thousands of flights since December 22.

The unusual intensity of this winter storm was caused by the phenomenon. A “bomb cyclone” is a weather condition in which the center of the storm drops dramatically and rapidly exceeds 24 millibars in a 24-hour period, displacing surrounding air into the center. causing a storm with speed and strength comparable to a hurricane

The US National Meteorological Agency has warned that many areas will face record temperatures in the coming days. from the city of Nashville Tennessee drops below 0°C for the first time in 26 years, while Montana hits minus 45°C.
Strong winds carried 7.5 inches of snow to St. Paul International Airport in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
