Winter storms hit Canada and US, affecting 250 million lives – BBC News Thai

Severe winter storms hit swathes of the United States. and Canada over the Christmas weekend. It affected nearly 250 million people and caused at least 19 deaths.

The winter storm covered more than 2,000 miles (3,200 km) from Texas. The southern United States as far south as Quebec, Canada has left more than 1.5 million people without electricity.

It also affects millions of people during the busy holiday season. Bad weather has forced airlines to cancel thousands of flights since December 22.
