Krefeld.(RS) The Penguins start the Christmas games with a new team of coaches.

There were again personnel changes in the Seidenstadt coaching staff during the week. Boris Empty is the new coach, supported by Herbert Hohenberger, a former defender who also gained some experience on the bench.

Another attempt was made to distribute the Penguin markers, this time White played between Müller and Magwood and that paid off in the 4th minute. Alex Weiß speculated on a pass on the opponent’s blue line, which he also got and thoughtfully passed it on to Zach Magwood, who ran with him, who scored to make it 1-0.
Krefeld remained instrumental throughout the first third. The foxes only got a little more dangerous in the third than the penguins in the last 60 seconds, but Scheidl failed to Belov.

The middle third brought no changes on the ice or the board. Krefeld seemed livelier and always mentally quicker. A penalty late in the third allowed the visitors to start the final section with the majority.

Most of the game was unsuccessful, but a little later Scheidl simply threw the puck in front of the goal and Baßler deflected unsustainably with his club. Sometimes it can be that simple.
Krefeld Magwood had better chances with a solo strike and a shot from Müller over the bar, but they finally had to go into extra time when Leon Niederberger Kapicak’s shot slipped and secured the extra point for the Penguins.

On Christmas Day, Krefeld travels to the Czech border for ERC Selb, before the points leaders from Kassel arrive at Westparkstrasse on Wednesday. The foxes are waiting for EHC Freiburg on Monday and will then travel to EV Landshut.

That’s what the coaches say about the match
