With Blizzard announcing the return of Overwatch Worlds, shooter fans are celebrating the return of this competitive tournament. While there are no details on the prize pool or where the tournament will take place, several personalities are already signing up. Among them we have the great streamer xQc, who confessed that he would be willing to return to the competitive scene for this tournament.
XQc would return from retirement for the new Overwatch World Cup
As soon as Blizzard announced the return of the Overwatch World Championship, xQc’s followers and fans went to ask through their live streams and social networks to return from retirement and participate in this tournament representing Canada. What no one expected is that the streamer is encouraged to participate again, but with only one condition: participate in player auditions.
I will think about whether or not I want to do it, and if I do, I will give myself time to train and improve enough. If I get it, I’ll go to auditions, and if I’m good enough, they’ll pick me, otherwise they won’t. I will not take the place of someone who is better. I’ve never done it before and I won’t start this year. If I don’t think it’s good enough in time, I won’t do the tests.
XQc, streamer and former Overwatch pro
As xQc rightly mentions, his goal if he decides to come out of retirement anyway is not to represent Canada because of his fame, but because of his skills. With this, you will practice a lot to raise your level and be able to earn your place in the player trials. If not, we won’t see the streamer retire from the professional Overwatch scene again.
