This educational institution got its name from Nobel Peace Prize winner Martin Luther King, inspired by his dream of improving the world through values such as tolerance, equality and non-violence. For this reason, their mission is to keep their dream alive through education.
They make use of an integral formation, promoter of critical attitudes, alive and in permanent development, participatory, plural and non-denominational. They consider themselves “committed to sustainability”. Therefore, as they explain, “we integrate the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) promoted by the UN into the curriculum to awaken responsible activism in the entire educational community, through active methodologies such as Service learning.”
They want the school to be a space of coexistence, where the natural inclusion of any condition is practiced, as promoted by the Positive Coexistence Plan, the Enclave Classroom for the Transit of Adult Life, sign language workshops and a linguistic project of immersion for children who come from other countries and cultures.
Thanks to this ability to exemplarily transform the teaching-learning process and the environment through the educational use of technology, they have been recognized as Apple Distinguished School (ADS), international recognition that is granted to the most innovative educational institutions and that makes us belong to a community of world leaders in pedagogical transformation.
