Charlene disappeared from the scene for months last year. She had to undergo multiple surgeries after contracting an ear, nose and throat infection in South Africa. Also, she had just returned home to Monaco when she traveled to Switzerland again. There she was admitted to a specialist clinic with exhaustion problems before returning to Munich to make her comeback.
“I am very proud of my wife,” Prince Albert told People. “Charlene is doing very well. She was an active presence at a number of different events. Charlene is increasingly involved in public life and in the things she is passionate about. My wife has visited various organizations in Munich, such as the Red Cross, and she has also visited people’s homes”.
The prince is clearly proud of where Charlene is today. “She really likes doing things with me and the kids. So this year she’s ending on a very, very high note. We are really happy with the way things are, ”says Albert. “As you know, last year and the beginning of this year have been extremely difficult for her. But she has really turned things around in an incredible way.
