The Indian federal government on Friday approved the use of iNCOVACC, the intranasal vaccine against COVID-19. The nasal vaccine, manufactured by Bharat Biotech International Ltd., will be used as a heterologous booster.
Officials added that the nasal vaccine has been approved for people over the age of 18.
Last month the vaccine received approval from India’s Comptroller General of Medicines for limited use in emergency situations.
