This Thursday, the Government has sent New Zealand the ratification for the official filing of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP-11)protocol that will serve to formalize Chile’s accession to the pact.
Through a statement from the Foreign Ministry it was indicated that the diplomatic note “notifies the conclusion of internal legal procedures for the entry into force of the agreement in February 2023”.
Also, it has been indicated that it continues with “an interministerial work led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, under the wing of the Interministerial Committee for International Economic Negotiations, to prepare for the implementation of the treaty once it enters into force”.
Also, due to the time difference of 16 hours between Santiago and Wellington, the note will be received in New Zealand on Friday.
Secondly, The government will continue with its cover letter strategy due to conflict resolution issues.
