A 19-year-old boy caused two accidents in Volketswil and Nänikon ZH on Thursday evening. After the second accident, the man leaves his Audi R8 and runs away.
As the Zurich cantonal police writes, shortly before 00:30 a Swiss drove through Volketswil in a white Audi R8. At the intersection of Industriestrasse, Chlirietstrasse and Guntenbachstrasse, he crashed into a traffic light. Without worrying about the damage, the 19-year-old continued on with his journey.
A short time later he lost control of the car again in a left-hand bend in Nänikon, went off the road to the right, crossed the pavement and crashed into three trees. Instead of taking care of the damage, the suspected speeder simply ran away.
Shortly thereafter, the driver was picked up by the police and arrested. Now he will have to answer to the competent prosecutor. As the Zurich cantonal police said at Blick’s request, the man was traveling alone. A blood and urine sample was ordered.
