A serial theft occurred in Tsuen Wan. Yesterday (22nd) at about 11pm, two tenants of Belvedere Garden, No. 620, Castle Peak Road, returned to their flat at a similar time. They both found that the windows had been broken and there were signs of burglary inside Suspecting that they had been burglarized, they called the police.
Police officers arrived at the scene to investigate. After counting, the woman surnamed Li (44) believed that there were watches worth about HK$50,000 in the house, two gold coins for a total of about HK$30,000 and about HK$4,000. Foreign currency cash, etc., worth more than 80,000 Hong Kong dollars in total were stolen. In another unit, male householder surnamed Wen (71) found no loss of property.
During the police investigation, they discovered that another unit’s window was also damaged and are contacting the head of the household to count the property and assist in the investigation. The case is now classified as a “serial burglary” and is being investigated by the Tsuen Wan Police District Criminal Investigation Team. No one has been arrested yet.
