Two Syrian brothers arrested in Limburg for preparing a terrorist crime | inland

Police arrested two 20- and 22-year-old Syrian brothers in Stein, Limburg on Wednesday evening on suspicion of preparing a terrorist crime. It is not yet clear what exactly the suspicion entails.

The General Intelligence and Security Service (AIVD) released information about the brothers this week. The Public Prosecutor (OM) then arrested them.

During a search of the brothers’ home, no weapons or explosives were found. The brothers are under all restrictions, meaning they can only have contact with their lawyer.

It was previously announced that two people had been arrested in the city of Limburg. At that time it had not yet been said what they were suspected of. Due to the restrictions, a spokesperson for the prosecutor’s office cannot provide further information on the suspect.
