The Municipality of Maldonado has ordered that beach inns or restaurants cannot have loud music after 24:00 and can only have functional music that does not interrupt the rest of residents and tourists. The only exception to this arrangement will be for the nights of December 24th and 31st.
Mayor Enrique Antía assured in a press conference that in Punta del Este and its surroundings there will be inspections and operations to control private individuals and whoever carries them out without authorization will be fined.
The objective of these measures is to create a friendly coexistence between those who go out to have fun and those who want to rest.
