Martinez was in the spotlight in Argentina’s World Cup champions parade on Tuesday (12/20/2022). He was caught on camera carrying a doll with Mbappe’s face glued on it on an open-top bus.
This action was seen as Martinez’s mockery of Mbappé, whom he defeated in the final World Cup 2022. Martinez had also previously teased the French striker after the final party.
In a video circulating on social media, Martinez is heard pronouncing a “minute of silence” for Mbappé. That moment occurred when the Argentine team celebrated their title in the locker room.
