Former PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) director Akhmad Hadian Lukita was not only released from detention. The current status of him is no longer a suspect in the Kanjuruhan tragedy case. If there is a further examination, Hadian will only be summoned as a witness.
Kasubdit 1 Kamneg Directorate of Special Criminal Investigations of East Java Regional Police AKBP Achmad Taufiqurrahman said so. According to him, the state of the suspect, Hadian, died temporarily because he was released from detention.
“No, there is no suspect at this moment. The suspect has been released (dropped as he was released) from detention. Later, if we find material conditions, we will call him again to conduct an investigation,” he said Wednesday ( 12/21/2022) evening.
When reporters repeat, does that mean Hadian has returned as a witness? Kasubdit 1 Kamneg Dirreskrimsus Polda East Java, who is familiarly called Taufik, agrees.
“Yes (again as a witness),” he said.
Earlier, Taufik explained why Hadian was no longer detained. He admitted that he was released from detention because his prison term had expired.
Apart from the expiry of the jail term, the East Java (Kejati) High Court recently returned the file of the suspected LIB CEO to the investigators of the East Java Police or P19 due to lack of material requirements.
“We will continue to fill the gaps afterwards. Naturally, with time running out, we are obliged to expel the suspect in question first. We are trying to complete the material requirements for the gaps,” he said.
East Java Regional Police Dirreskrimum investigators handed over 5 of the 6 suspects in the Kanjuruhan tragedy case to the East Java Attorney General’s Office last night. They were arrested and will soon be tried in the Surabaya District Court.
“There are 5 suspects, 3 people from the national police and 2 people from the competition committee in Kanjuruhan,” said the man who is familiarly called Taufik.
