Swedish clothing company H&M has announced it is pulling outfits featuring photos of pop singer Justin Bieber after he expressed strong disapproval of the collection in an Instagram post, Vbox7 reported.
In his post, the 28-year-old actor said he hadn’t given permission for the clothes and described them as ‘garbage’. “The H&M merchandise they made me is rubbish and I didn’t approve of it,” Justin Bieber wrote, encouraging his 270 million followers not to buy it.
H&M told AFP it had pulled all products from the collection “out of respect” for the artist. “As with all other licensed products and partnerships, H&M has gone through the approval procedures,” explained a spokesperson for the Swedish company. “But out of respect for our partnership and for Justin Bieber, we have pulled the clothing from our stores and from online sales,” the company rep added.
The Swedish clothing giant has been collaborating with Justin Bieber for several years. The collection, criticized by the musician, includes hooded and short-sleeved blouses, accessories for mobile phones and a bag, notes AFP.
