“It reflects our society where we don’t work against violence against women. What is fundamental, when receiving a woman, is to know if she is well. Despite the laws that have been made, there is no political awareness of the seriousness of what is being done to women,” said Micheline Dupont, of the Droit des Femmes 41 collective, who initiated the demonstration. The reception of women “is not yet developed”, “people lack training”, she regretted in front of the Police Headquarters.
Also present Even, spoke for the feminist collective of the Blois Collages. “We are here to denounce the inaction of the police,” explains the young activist. “When she, at 5.30pm, was told to come back the next day, she said she was scared and, sadly, she was told that as it was not the procedure, she would not be driven back to she. And it was when she got home that it happened. It is not possible for someone to denounce violence, to denounce the fear of dying, and not be listened to,” she insists. “These failures are systemic, you are not a particular person, you are not the Blois police station. There is a whole system that needs to be reviewed», denounces the young woman.
Open investigation
The IGPN was seized on Friday after the violent attack of this 24-year-old girl, shot by her ex-partner a few hours after she presented herself without being welcomed at the Blois police station, according to reports from the Loir-et-Cher prefecture. The police officer who refused to accept her complaint was suspended pending the investigation.

The victim, placed in a coma, suffers from “serious cerebral hemorrhagic lesions,” said Blois public prosecutor Charlotte Beluet. Her ex-partner, 27, was arrested on Thursday in Plaisir in the Yvelines. He was placed in custody as part of a criminal investigation for attempted murder.
