Elon Musk’s wealth continues to decline after he lost his position as the richest man in the world last week.
Musk’s fortune fell $7.7 billion yesterday, following a sharp drop in Tesla’s stock price, dropping his wealth to its lowest level in two years.
According to Bloomberg statistics, the current value Musk’s fortune is approximately $148 billion .
Musk has lost $122.6 billion of his wealth this year, surpassing his total losses in 2021.
On the other hand, Elon Musk said cost-cutting decisions he’s made in recent weeks have saved Twitter a $3 billion financial shortfall.
Musk’s recent decisions have included firing a number of workers, increasing the number of hours worked, canceling privileges and reducing free meals for employees.
In another context, Musk confirmed that he will step down from the position of CEO of Twitter after finding his successor in this position, indicating that he will retain control of the company’s engineering teams.
This comes after Musk called a referendum on the Twitter platform, in which he asked whether he should step down from Twitter’s presidency, and the result of the vote in favor of leaving office came after the participation of more than seventeen million followers.
