Deputy Governor of East Java Emil Elestianto Dardak opened his voice regarding the raid of his office by the Commission for the Elimination of Corruption (KPK). Emil admitted he was in Jakarta when the search took place.
“Today I represent the Governor (Khofifah) following the agenda of the national meeting of the Public Service Agency for the Environmental Funds Management Agency at the Ministry of Finance. Then I attended the awarding of disaster management and at the Hanura Anniversary event,” he explained Emile launched detikJatimWednesday (12/21/2022) night.
As for the KPK’s research, the former Trenggalek regent complied with this passage. Emil is also ready to work with the KPK.
“In principle, we respect the process done by the KPK. In principle, we are ready to cooperate with the best of the KPK,” he added.
As previously reported, the KPK raided the offices of East Java governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa and his deputy, Emil Elestianto Dardak. The research was related to the development of a grant fund corruption case involving DPRD Vice President of East Java, Sahat Tua Simanjuntak.
The KPK ransacked a number of rooms for 7 hours. After searching, KPK investigators were seen carrying 2 large black suitcases. Also, the KPK brought 1 small suitcase. They took the elevator down near the main lobby of the East Java governor’s office.
