The archbishop of Tomis was asked at a press conference on Wednesday why his driver went at 235 km/h on the Soarelui highway this summer, being detected by radars. “I don’t know, I don’t look at the mileage. I don’t even know if that was the case. I had to go to a maslu. I told him, ‘Look, keep up to get to the maslu! ‘” he replied, according to News.ro.
When asked if the driver reached a speed of 235 km/h, IPS Teodosie replied: “Probably. If the car took…”.
The car the Archbishop of Tomis was in was detected by radar as traveling at a speed of 235 km/h on the Soarelui Highway in early August, and the driver was without a license for 120 days and received a fine of 2,900 lei.
