monitoring CNNIndonesia.com At the scene, a number of anti-corruption investigators entered Khofifah’s office on the second floor of the main building, at around 5pm WIB.
The investigators were seen wearing T-shirts and backpacks complete with beige vests that read KPK.
“Yes, I saw them come in,” one of the officers said CNNIndonesia.com.
At around 5:30 pm WIB, several investigators then left Khofifah’s office.
Other investigators were later seen entering the East Java Provincial Secretary’s Office, and parts of the East Java Deputy Governor Emil Dardak’s Office.
Until this report was written, research was still ongoing.
Meanwhile, Khofifah admitted he was aware of a search of his office by the KPK.
He said he was not at the scene at the time of the search as he was attending a series of meetings, including a Christmas and New Year holiday meeting at the East Java Regional Police.
“I know from media reports, all day I coordinate the implementation of the budget with the head of the OPD. Earlier, the KPK searched several rooms in the DPRD building in East Java, Surabaya for seven hours on Monday (12/19). Several suitcases suspected of containing evidence were seized.
The investigators, estimated to number in the dozens, arrived at 3pm WIB and only left the DPRD building at 1011pm WIB. The search was allegedly related to East Java DPRD OTT Vice President Sahat Tua Simanjuntak on Wednesday (12/14).

“[Koper] the Red one [isinya] there is BB (evidence),” one of the investigators said.
Furthermore, before leaving the East Java DPRD building, the investigator from the Anti-Corruption Institute was also seen escorting a person dressed in brown like the uniform of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN).
A car driven by a person suspected of wearing an Asn uniform was also seized by the investigators. The car is a silver Toyota Avanza with the number L 777 EM.
