The Scottish rock band was formed in 1969 and consisted of guitarist Manny Charlton, vocalist Dan McCafferty, bassist Pete Egno and drummer Darrell Sweet. Since its foundation, the collective of the group has experienced several changes over time.
The first albums and compositions of “Nazareth” were created in the band members’ hometown of Dunfermline, and the artists themselves describe their music as “a synthesis of elements of rock, country and Scottish folk music”.
Under the guidance of producer Roger Glover, who came from “Deep Purple”, hard rock motifs began to dominate the music of “Nazareth”. Albums such as “Rampant” (1974), “Hair Of The Dog” (1975) and “Close Enough For Rock n Roll” (1976) are recognized today as hard rock masterpieces.
“Nazareth” will perform in Riga during the European concert tour. The show will feature songs such as “Love Hurts”, “Dream On”, “This Flight Tonight” and many other famous compositions of the band.
