Wallberg and Hector are two of six candidates who cannot vote after the first round of voting.
The six candidates who received the fewest votes were: 14. Walter Wallberg, humpback, 13. Lag Niklas Edin, curling, 12. Sarah Sjöström, swimming, 11. Sara Hector, alpine, 10. Mattias Falck/Kristian Karlsson, table tennis, 9. Ebba Årsjö, para sport, alpine.
Now the following eight candidates remain: women’s relay, biathlon, Armand Duplantis, track and field, Marcus Ericsson, motor sports, men’s national team, handball, Sandra Näslund, ski cross, Jonna Sundling, cross-country skiing, Nils van der Poel, ice skating, Henrik von Eckermann, equestrian sports.
The prize will be awarded at the Gala dello Sport on 16 January next year. The national show jumping team, with Henrik von Eckermann, Malin Baryard and Peder Fredricson, recently won the Jerring prize.
