Lionel Messi and others paraded through the streets of Buenos Aires in an open-top bus after winning World Cup 2022. Squad Argentina arrived in his hometown since Tuesday (12/20).
The Argentinian players, of course, seemed very excited to celebrate their success. They waved flags and sang with the fans.
In a moment, Rodrigo de Paul is seen standing on the roof of the bus. The Ateltico Madrid midfielder looked keen on shouting chant with the fans.
Because of his enthusiasm, De Paul almost slipped. Seeing that his colleague was almost injured, Messi immediately reminded De Paul by tapping his leg and nodding his head to get off.

That single nod from Messi was enough to make De Paul comply. He immediately stopped what he was doing and sat down.
Throughout the 2022 World Cup, Rodrigo de Paul is known to be very close to Messi. De Paul has even been mentioned as Messi’s bodyguard.
The 28-year-old midfielder doesn’t hesitate to stop opponents so that Messi can move freely. He was also seen advancing up front when Messi was breached by an opposing player.
