尹 Approval rating close to 45… Increased by 5 points in 2 weeks

On the 21st, the results of a public opinion poll emerged according to which President Yoon Seok-yeol’s approval rating for state affairs was close to 45%.

Following a survey of 1,001 men and women over the age of 18, commissioned by the National Research Group and Ace Research by Newsis on the 17th and 19th, the positive rating of President Yoon’s performance in state affairs was 44.5 %, up 5 percentage points from two weeks ago

The negative rating was 54.1%, down 4.2 percentage points from two weeks ago. “Don’t know/no answer” was 1.4%.

Incheon and Gyeonggi provinces (+9.2 percentage points from two weeks ago) and those aged 60 and over (+14.9 percentage points) led the increase in approval ratings. In particular, it grew by 10.5 percentage points (11.4% → 21.9%) in the progressive class and by 10.0 percentage points in the female class (34.8% → 44.8%). By region, positive ratings increased in all regions except Gwangju, Jeonnam and Jeonbuk. By age group, only 20-year-olds showed a decline.

By political affiliation, all positive ratings increased, regardless of progressive (10.5 percentage points ↑), moderate (0.8 percentage points ↑), and conservative (2.4 percentage points ↑).

Reasons for positive evaluation include “determination and determination (39.3%)”, “fairness and justice (30.6%)”, “diplomacy and security (9.0%)”, “economy and people’s livelihood (5.8%)”, “real estate policy (5.7%)’ %)’ and ‘communication to the public (5.3%)’. The reasons for the negative assessment were instead ‘economy and livelihoods of people (22.6%), ‘attitude for work (22.4%)’, poor listening to different opinions (17/3%), ‘lack of political experience (12.9%)’, ‘personnel problems’ ( 11.0%)’ and ‘diplomacy and security (7.4%)’.
