Will Robin Gosens play again in the Bundesliga? The 28-year-old German international has been speculated for weeks as a possible new signing for Schalke 04. Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer Leverkusen have already expressed interest in the left winger. Inter director Piero Ausilio (47) has now commented on the rumors about Gosens.
In January 2022, the Nerazzurri loaned the 28-year-old from Atalanta Bergamo for a year and a half. In the current season, the Emmerich native usually finds himself on the bench. He was only in the starting XI on matchday one in Serie A. Inter coach Simone Inzaghi (46) replaced him in eleven matches. After all, he was allowed to play the full 90 minutes three times in the Champions League, including the two 0-2 defeats against FC Bayern Munich.
“Gosens is a strong player”
If any Bundesliga team hopes to exploit the unfortunate situation in Gosen to their advantage, Ausilio suspends the request. Opposite to SkyItalia the sporting director of the Lombard club announced that the German was “absolutely off the market”. “He is a man we count on,” said Ausilio. If fans and officials were hoping for Gosens as Royal Blues, then it’s probably time to say goodbye to this dream. “Gosens is a strong player, a player for the German national team, I am convinced that he will do very well at Inter and that he will return to the national team soon”, praised the 47-year-old as a left winger.
Ausilio still expects a lot from the 14-time national player. “In these days of preparation I’ve seen Gosens from Atalanta again”, he gets excited and adds optimistically: “We think that from now on there will be a different Gosens than before”.
