Honda appears to be launching the latest generation Honda CR-V in Indonesia. The rumor came after the design of the latest generation Honda CR-V appeared in government documents.
Honda Motor Co., Ltd. has registered its new car design in Indonesia. This time around, the registered design is believed to be the sixth generation Honda CR-V.
Honda’s new car design is listed in the official industrial design news document No. 33/DI/2022 which was issued by the General Directorate of Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. From front, side and rear views, the design of this car is identical to that of the sixth generation Honda CR-V previously launched in the United States.
When asked about the presence of the latest generation Honda CR-V, PT Honda Prospect Motor’s Business Innovation and Sales & Marketing Director, Yusak Billy, was reluctant to answer for sure.
“We don’t have a plan yet. The current model is still good, still for sale,” said Billy briefly, not wanting to continue the statement about the latest Honda CR-V.
The design of the latest generation Honda CR-V registered in Indonesia is similar to the CR-V launched in the United States. The appearance of the Honda CR-V is characterized by a hexagonal-shaped front grille with larger dotted pins, while the rear fascia features a trapezoidal-shaped exhaust cover.
In Uncle Sam’s Country, the sixth generation Honda CR-V is offered with two engines. First of all, a 1.5-litre turbocharged in-line 4-cylinder capable of delivering a maximum power of 190 HP at 6,000 rpm. Secondly, the 2.0-litre inline 4-cylinder engine is coupled with two-motor hybrid systems capable of producing a maximum power of 204 HP.
The sixth generation All New Honda CR-V uses a CVT transmission that now features Step-Shift programming technology that can make gear changes more pronounced while driving. Specifically, the CR-V Hybrid uses a two-motor hybrid drive system.
