A 6.4-magnitude earthquake hit California with an epicenter 130 miles north of San Francisco, three days after a 3.6-magnitude quake hit the area, BGNES reports.
The strong quake struck off the coast of Northern California, the US Geological Survey (USGS) reported.
The quake was at a depth of 10 miles (16.1km), the USGS said, adding it struck 7 miles (12km) west of Ferndale, California.
