The Ferrol Fire Brigade had to intervene at dawn on Tuesday to put out the fire that broke out on the deck of one of the Navy frigates docked at the Ferrol Arsenal, reports 112 Galicia, specifying that the flames were modest and no human injuries were reported.
The Integrated Emergency Center learned of the fire at 6:30, when the firefighters signaled the departure from the park to the Arsenale. 112 then notified the health emergencies, the Galician coastguard service, the port authority of Ferrol-San Cibrao, the civil guard, the local police, the national police and maritime rescue.
The firefighters assessed that it was a small fire and after 7:00 they finished their intervention. The flames, according to the 112 report, did not spread beyond the deck of the ship.
