Member of the Commission III DPR RI, Ahmad Saroni, highlighted the issue of the head of RW in Pantai Mutiara, Pluit, North Jakarta, Santoso, who was allegedly removed from Lurah Pluit because he spoke about the practice of extortion (pungli) in his environment. Sahroni called on DKI Jakarta acting governor Heru Budi Hartono to fire the Pluit village chief.
“I strongly request Pak Heru (acting governor of DKI Jakarta) to remove the village head of Pluit,” Sahroni said in his statement on Tuesday (20/12/2022).
Sahroni thought what Lurah Pluit did was arrogant. He also condemned the arbitrariness of lurah.
“This is because his decision showed an attitude of arrogance and outrageous arbitrariness,” Sahroni said.
In addition, this DPR member for DKI Jakarta III election area also reminded that the lurah cannot arbitrarily dismiss the president of RW. Because, according to him, the head of RW is democratically elected by the community.
“The lurah should not arbitrarily remove the head of RW, because you need to know that the head of RW is democratically elected by the residents, not nominated or nominated only by the lurah. So his dismissal is absolutely not justified,” he said.
Previously, the head of RW in Pantai Mutiara, Pluit, North Jakarta, Santoso was removed from Lurah Pluit. Santoso would have been fired for speaking about the practice of extortion in his environment.
“So this is the so called land fasos (social facilities) extortion. So the fasos fasum (public facilities) were objectified by a person named Jakpro through his branch, forcing us to ask for rent from Mutiara Beach residents in RW 016,” Santoso said when prompted on Tuesday (12/20).
Santoso explained that the elite residential area of Pantai Mutiara was established in 1996. However, for decades of existence, the housing developers have never handed over social and social facilities to the DKI Jakarta provincial government through the Regional Agency for asset management (BPAD).
“So the fasum social services ground has been managed by the developer since 1996, until now it’s been decades, so the rights have not been reverted to the BPAD, the local government,” he explained.
