Preparation match for under 20 players (Truro/Can.):

Slovakia – Germany 0:5 (0:2, 0:2, 0:1)

Targets: 7. to 48. Bader, 19. Kechter, 28. Krenning, 36. Rossmy.

Shutdown: 3:5 for 2 mins, additionally Dej (SR) for 5 mins + DKZ, Overwhelm: 0:3, Weaken: 0:0.

The composition of Slovakia: Korec – V. Kmec, Groch, Laurenčík, Bečár, Funtek, Moško, B. Žabka – Šotek, Dvorský, A. Čiernik – Žlnka, Petrovský, A. Sýkora – Mišiak, Repčík, Štefančík – L. Nemec, Dej, Bačo – Danielchak

The first goal chance was created by the Slovaks in the 4th minute. Šotek found a free Čiernik on the left rim with an accurate kick, but only aimed for the post. The scoring of the match was finally opened by the Germans, who punished the Slovak exclusion. Bader scored close to goal. In the 13th minute, Bečár skilfully searches for Mišiak, who was with the door open, but at the last moment the German defender strikes with his stick. The equalizer didn’t even come thanks to two Slovakian power plays in quick succession. Conversely, 64 seconds before going to the locker room, the opponent scored again thanks to Kechter.

At the beginning of the second period, the Germans reached for the third goal. In the two-on-one numerical superiority, they faced the Slovakian defender, but goalkeeper Korec stopped them with an excellent save. In the 28th minute there was a mistake on the offensive blue line, the Germans started another counter-attack and this time they didn’t hesitate. After a winning combination, Krening ended up with an empty net. Five minutes later, the Slovakian team was weakened by František Dej, who received a five-minute + DKZ penalty for a foul on the German captain. Paradoxically, Slovakia’s big chances came in the weakening. However, Štefančík and Petrovský did not use separate fugues. Shortly after, Groch also goes to the penalty bench, and the German representatives take advantage of a long power play by two players. With an accurate shot, Rossma rippled the net.

In the third half, the young Slovaks continued their shooting difficulties. In the 48th minute Petrovský confirmed it in a separate escape, which crashed again into the attentive opposing goalkeeper. The Germans on the opposite side of the track had no problems with the finish. Bader made it 0-5 on the power play with the second hit of the game. A little later, Mišiak burned another shot, and the Slovakian goal was not even realized by the overwhelming pressure, during which the coaches pulled the goalkeeper. The six players created several promising shooting positions, but Wolf struck successfully against them all.
