Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investments (Menko Marvest) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan criticized the way things work KPK extension in the fight against corruption. He said that the KPK didn’t need to arrest people a bit.
Luhut initially spoke about the red-handed or OTT operation conducted by the KPK. According to Luhut, the OTT conducted by the KPK against officials suspected of corruption has not been good for the country.
“We don’t need to talk up. These OCT-OCT are actually not good. For this country, they are really bad. But if we digital life, who wants to fight us,” Luhut said at the launch event of Action for Prevention of Corruption 2023-2024 in Jakarta on Tuesday (20/12/2022).
Luhut later said he had been invited to be interviewed by a media outlet in London. He said Indonesia was praised after successfully holding the G20 summit in Bali last November.
“Just arrived from London yesterday sir/madam. After the G20 summit to follow up on this. Everyone praised us. I was invited to speak inhabit Of Bloomberg TV,” he said.
Luhut admitted that he explained that Indonesia has four pillars of development. Of the four presented, he said digitization was key to the nation’s progress.
“I explained about Indonesia. I said that there are four of our pillars. One is efficiency, what is digitization efficiency. The second is downstream, the third is village funds, I have explained to them. But the first two were the key, ladies and gentlemen,” he said.
Afterwards, Luhut reminded the KPK not to make small arrests. According to him, if digitization in Indonesia goes well, no one will be able to tamper with the system.
“So if we’re going to work with the heart, yes, if we’re alive a little, that’s fine, if we’re going to clean up, you’ll be in heaven,” Luhut said.
“So the Corruption Eradication Commission shouldn’t be caught too little by little, so take a look. But if this digitization is already underway, you won’t be able to play,” he added.
