Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts arrives with its second French-style property in New York on Fifth Avenue. Le Méridien is part of the Marriott Bonvoy, which offers 165 rooms and 17 apartment-style residences for extended stays.

The hotel has a mid-century modern design with a trademark originating from Europe. The elegant hotel has 21 floors, designed by Gene Kaufman Architect and those of Paul Vega and Vennie Lau.

The property pays homage to the neighborhood dominated by the merchant textile trade in the 20th century. “Bold geometric patterns, contrasting colors, and textured fabrics are woven into the hotel’s design, fused with New York City cultural elements and mid-century design references,” Marriott describes it.

The Le Méridien brand was already present in New York with its hotel in Central Park.
