We talked about, among others, the following topics:
- How digital is the legal industry?
- The customer experience with respect to data protection is already an issue when I look at all the cookie banners that I have to confirm again and again and again. How should I imagine data protection on February 3, 2030? Is everything getting more “annoying”?
- Are new insurance products, for example in connection with dashcams, actually conceivable from a data protection perspective?
- What will copyright law look like in 2030? Will it be managed more freely than today? Think of all the videos anyone can upload to TikTok. Or will it be even more restrictive than today?
- Will there be adjudication algorithms or robo-lawyers?
- If we stick with algorithms and artificial intelligence. They will presumably determine our future in all situations. What I’m wondering is, are programs even allowed to offer self-sustainable insurance contracts? Today I enter my data manually and then the relevant contract is issued on the basis of clear rules formulated by the people. But what if the programs analyze me and decide for themselves which contract to get and everything works via blockchain without human control. Is it even legally possible? Will it be legal on February 3, 2030?
- Where is a human being better at consulting than an algorithm?
- Think of Alexa & Co. It is often said that language assistants make intermediaries and consultants obsolete. Is it legally possible and who is responsible for bad advice? The insurance company or the programmer?
