Two young people, a girl and a boy, aged 19 and 22 respectively, died on Monday night, following the tragic accident in the Dedeman area on the extension of Mihai Viteazu avenue in the municipality of Sibiu. Two other men were taken to hospital, one of them in very serious condition.
The traffic accident occurred on Monday night in the Dedeman area. The driver of an Audi car, registered in Brașov county, reportedly lost control of the steering wheel and crashed into a truck parked on the side of the road. The impact was devastating, with all four people in the car sustaining serious injuries.
Several teams of police, firefighters and ambulances quickly arrived at the scene. The extrication team was also needed to be able to get the victims out of the car. Three of them were in a coma and one was stuck among the beasts.
All people were removed from the car. Two of them were pronounced dead and two others were taken to hospital. The people who lost their lives were 19 and 22 years old, respectively, a girl and a boy. “SAJ Sibiu crews provided medical assistance to the victims of the major traffic accident and transported them to UPU Sibiu as follows: 19-year-old girl, transported to UPU for resuscitation – declared dead, 22-year-old man, declared dead, a man, about 22 years old, intubated, in coma, with confidential prognosis and a 20-year-old man, under observation, investigated with computed tomography, data awaited,” Genu Scridon, Sibiu Ambulance spokesman, reports.
Police are conducting investigations to establish the circumstances under which the accident occurred.
