Starting this Monday 19 and until 23 December 2022, in the municipalities of Apizaco, Huamantla, Tlaxcala, Xicohtzinco and Tepeyanco, the booster vaccines against Covid-19 will be applied for the population aged 60 and over, as well as at the first and second dose for the population aged five to 11 years.
Tlaxcala has 40,500 doses of the booster vaccine for people 60 years of age and older and health personnel, as well as 4,800 doses for children aged 5 to 11, vaccines that the State Government through the Health sector, in coordination with the delegation of the Welfare Secretariat of the federal government, makes them available to the population so that they can continue to take care of their health.
From December 19 to 20 at the University Cultural Center of the Autonomous University of Tlaxcala (UAT), from 9:00 to 16:00, the first and second doses are applied from five to 11 years old, in addition to universal reinforcement for people of aged over 18 and population aged 60 or over.
For Tuesday, December 20, at the Xicohtzinco Municipal Auditorium from 9:00 to 15:00, the health sector will apply the first dose Covid-19 vaccines to people aged 18 and over, as well as universal reinforcement for the Tlaxcalans aged 60 and over.
On Thursday, December 22, in the municipal auditorium “Emilio Sánchez Piedras” of Apizaco, as well as in the municipal auditorium of Tepeyanco, the first dose vaccines will be applied, as well as vaccines for those over 18, as well as the universal vaccine reinforcement for people aged 60 and over.

People who go to the established vaccination points to receive this vaccine only need to present proof of the doses they have already applied and the request for reinforcement that can be obtained from the page https://mivacuna.salud.gob.mx.
Furthermore, in the IMSS-Wellness Health Units of Tlaxcala, Chiautempan, Apizaco, Huamantla, Calpulalpan and San Pablo del Monte, vaccines against Covid-19 are applied permanently to children between five and 11 years old.

The universal booster vaccine for the population aged 60 and over is from Abdala, a Cuban-origin biologic that has been pre-approved by the World Health Organization since June 2022 and has an efficacy of 92.28% to prevent symptoms in case of presentation of the Covid19 infection; as well as 98.1 percent to prevent complications that lead to the need for in-hospital care.
In this first phase, priority will be given to applying to a group of elderly people; first-line healthcare personnel; adults over the age of 18 who have not received any of the previous vaccines, a group identified as new schedulers.
