Governor not invited to CM’s Christmas Party – Pinarayi Vijayan | Arif Mohammad Khan | Christmas party

Thiruvananthapuram ∙ Governor Arif Muhammad Khan was not invited to Prime Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s Christmas party. Today at 12.30 the banquet will be held at the Masket Hotel. Even journalists are not allowed.

Ministers, religious leaders, leaders of political parties including the leader of the opposition will participate. The Governor is in Delhi. Raj Bhavan’s officials have informed that he has not received an invitation. Usually someone at the Chief Secretary level comes to Raj Bhavan and invites. Governor will return to Kozhikode today but leave for Delhi on 22nd. Reach Thiruvananthapuram on second appointment.

The Prime Minister and Ministers were invited to the Governor’s Christmas party but did not attend. The public relations department has been instructed to provide images of the Prime Minister’s banquet as there is no access for journalists.

Other bills passed by the assembly, including removing the governor from the post of chancellor of the universities, have yet to reach the Raj Bhavan for the governor’s assent. Only the bill increasing the liquor sales tax has come to the Raj Bhavan and has been approved by the Governor.
